Hawkwood was a famous English knight that lead the White Company one of the many groups of Condottieri ,the mercenary troops of Italy in the 1300 to 1500's

A truly magnificent  sculpture painted in the Striking Red and Gold heraldry of Lord Fitzalan in mint condition. Number#3 of 14 produced. John Fitzalan was created duke of Touraine an award for his valor in France in service to King Henry VI. Known as the "English Achilles" he continued to serve the King in the field until he was mortally wounded at the Battle of Gerbevy in 1435!
