Roy Gregory: Edward, The Black Prince, 1/6th scale model:

This is a Museum grade 1/6th model of Edward the Black Prince created by the English artist Roy Gregory.

It was crafted in England in the 1970's.  It is one of a very limited edition of hand crafted masterpieces sold through the prestige’s Peter Dale Armories of London.  Mr. Gregory's Models are part of the permanent display at the Visitor Center at the site of the Battle of Bosworth.  Prince Charles opened the newly refurbished Center and was particularly impressed by these models. Roy was duly presented to him and was commissioned to create a special piece for Windsor Castle.  As you can see from the Black Prince, it is completely hand made and is about 1/6 scale.  The Armor is crafted from aluminum, wood, leather, and velvet fabric. The helmet Crest is fitted with the Black Prince's Feather Crest of Peace as on display at Westminster Abby.

The Model stands 24 inches high, the shield is detachable, and the aluminum sword can be removed from its leather sheath.  The model stands on a wood base with a plaque.

John Niblett, 70mm, Mounted Duke of Anhalt Zerbst in German Gothic Armour, 1969:

This very rare piece is only the second example of this mounted miniature that I was lucky enough to purchase. The Knight is made of "Plastic", but it has the appearance of metal, which is only given away by its light weight. It was made to be sold as a souvenir at the Tower of London. Extremely Rare!

The Knight is in Excellent Condition, with it's mace and the belted sword intact. The label on the underside of the base is in excellent condition. And it comes complete with its original box!

In Peter Greenhill's book “Miniature Heraldic Knights", he provides a photo and reference for this knight on page 154.
