Roy Gregory: Edward, The Black Prince, 1/6th scale model:

This is a Museum grade 1/6th model of Edward the Black Prince created by the English artist Roy Gregory.

It was crafted in England in the 1970's.  It is one of a very limited edition of hand crafted masterpieces sold through the prestige’s Peter Dale Armories of London.  Mr. Gregory's Models are part of the permanent display at the Visitor Center at the site of the Battle of Bosworth.  Prince Charles opened the newly refurbished Center and was particularly impressed by these models. Roy was duly presented to him and was commissioned to create a special piece for Windsor Castle.  As you can see from the Black Prince, it is completely hand made and is about 1/6 scale.  The Armor is crafted from aluminum, wood, leather, and velvet fabric. The helmet Crest is fitted with the Black Prince's Feather Crest of Peace as on display at Westminster Abby.

The Model stands 24 inches high, the shield is detachable, and the aluminum sword can be removed from its leather sheath.  The model stands on a wood base with a plaque.
