This is one of the newest pieces that I have had in my collection of Courtenay miniatures. Purchased from a private collection, it is a nice example in near mint condition position #15. Very nice crisp Heraldry of the lord , only one in my collection with an ax (more usual variations are a mace or sword)! . Courtenay/Greenhill, Position # 8A, 50mm Pewter, dated Jan 1992, Gautier Duc d" Athens, Constable of France.
Very Finely painted Quartered Heraldic coat of arms and a great facial expression on this little gem make it highly collectible! The Duc d’Athens was Governor of Florence and the Constable of the French Host at the Battle of Poitier's where he perished.!
Miniature is in mint condition and comes with original Greenhill Box!

Courtenay Casting, position # 2 , 50mm pewter, Heraldry of Sir Miles Stapleton, 2 moveable arms.
Again I Have no idea who painted the following nicely copied miniature Knight, however it's a good addition to a diorama display of 50mm knights.. Paint is like new with a protective felt on underside of base. These were not intended to deceive collectors as the blue painted bases and felt bottoms clearly would alert any Courtenay Fan to their origin.(SEE PHOTO BELOW comparing to a REAL COURTENAY #18 Billman.)
Copy of Courtenay's Position #2 pose. Purchased a group of these at the LLoyd Ralstoy Dec. 2002 Auction. Very good paint and excellent condition with battle ax 7 2 movable arms.(Last photo shows the copy next to an original Courtenay from my collection!

Another possible casting painted by an unknown artist. Painted nicely with a rear Courtenay H6B miniature Mounted Knight. Paint is matt in very condition with a protective felt on underside of base. A Very Rare conversion by Courtenay of a miniature in the Fighting footman in near perfect condition. Provenance from the John Gilliet collection Signed on the underside of the base. This is a post war miniature by Courtenay over 60 years old and the only Courtenay conversion in my collection. Very good paint and heraldry on this figure.
